Anyone know about this weight loss/fundraising program I saw at subway?

Posted by admin on September 1, 2010

Was in subway last week and there was a little card on the counter advertising an online weight loss tracker, that for every pound you lose they donate money to help feed the hungry…or something along those lines.

Don’t think it was done by subway, they were just promoting it

Didn’t write it down and figured I could just google it but I can’t find it.

Anyone know about this program and/or where the website is?

just go on the subway website they should have it ?

How do you like this fundraising idea?

Posted by admin on August 28, 2010

If I were to get some sponsors and put together a monthly pamphlet / newspaper and have a favorite charity and write about the organization and have more details about them. Then I would also have a list of 10 or so charity organizations that are in major need of help and write about them. I would send this out to people all throughout the city and give a location to send checks. I would also have a website where people could donate online with credit cards. Do you think this would raise very much money?
Thanks!

Maybe, you could also do a monthly voting on the website for the users to vote on their favorite charity, and whichever charity organization wins get however much percent you want of proceeds you get that month.
sounds pretty cool
i think that’s a great idea and we need more people in the world like you!

what are some simple fundraising ideas?

Posted by admin on August 17, 2010

ok my family has a huge yard sale every year and me and some friends do some sort of fund raiser to make a few extra bucks and iv ran out of ideas. one year we did lemonade but the wasps liked that too much. one year we did snow cones but the ice melted to fast and if we were busy we couldn’t freeze ice fast enough. and last year we did rice crispys but they cost too much and are too hard to make. i cant find any ideas online so im turning to the people.

Wow your a real entrepreneur aren’t you!

How about a BBQ? It will be summer, people are out shopping. It wouldn’t cost a lot and its’ easy to run.

You could get a few tubs of cookie dough, or chocolate bars to sell. put them in a cooler someplace. Again very low up front cost.

Or put a fundraising catalogue out so people can see other things besides food.

Its a little tricky because people are there for other reasons and its hard to get some to switch thinking.

You sound really impressive doing this every year!

Good luck!

I need help with fundraising for school?

Posted by admin on August 13, 2010

So, I need to sell approximately 124 items and hand in the order forms in on Monday in order to win the grand prize, a laptop. I need some advice on how to go about this. What selling techniques and ways should I sell all this stuff? They said we can sell online as well. Thanks for the help please give me some creative, effective ideas. :]

I suggest you get the kids all together ask a populated business if you can setup a table to sell your stuff.

Let them know it’s for the school.

Or go door to door.

I recommend

How successful are online fundraising campaigns?

Posted by admin on August 8, 2010

we don’t have the name recognition of an organization like Greenpeace or Amnesty International, just the little nonviolence league aka, Nonviolence, INC.

Depend on what fit your non-profit and the number of your supporters.

You can check GiveStream as a way to fundraise. With a small push this can become a great fundraising channel for your non-profit.

Ideas for fundraising?…?

Posted by admin on August 2, 2010

I am 15, and I’m fundraising for a local non-profit animal pound. Their participating in a dog walk, and I’ve joined a team to raise money online…a fundraising website. Now I’m trying to find ways offline, any ideas?

I would <3 to ask a buisness if I could put up a jar with a picture and description of the project…

At church we always have a bake sale & rummage sale.

There are card parties the ladies would like to get together as well but none of them want to do anything about it (and I don’t know much about it)

In the winter the had a chili & sandwich sale once.

We also get paid to cator the local public school’s top 10% banquet once a year. (it’s our BIG fundraiser, and we don’t charge a lot of $ for the dinner)

fundraising ideas? fundraising/donation pages.?

Posted by admin on July 23, 2010

I am an aspiring filmmaker, trying to raise money for my first indie film. What are some good fundraising ideas? Do you know of any online donation/fundraising pages? What are some good ways to solicit money? Any help would be useful?

Hey there - cool reason for fundraising!

I’ve been heavily involved with nonprofit fund raising for years….so here are some ideas I have that could be relatively low in cost for your cause…

1) Consider a mail campaign - depending on how many mailing addresses you have, you never know how many people might respond to your cause and just write you a check! This works amazingly well for several organizations that are short on time AND resources.

2) Consider running an online auction - this is an AWESOME way to get to the people whose mailing addresses you don’t have (ie you’ve got their EMAILS)…your email base can feel like they’re using their expendable income on great stuff AND its going to their community at the same time!
I’ve included a link of one of the online auction companies that I’ve worked with…cMarket. They also have another website, BiddingforGood.com, that opens your auction up to all their members so that people who you don’t even know can donate to your cause and bid on your items!

3) Instead of having a garage sale at your home, try having a "garage" sale on eBay! Think of it as a virtual way to get rid of some stuff AND make a little more money…(make sure you include the cost of shipping those items online or else you’ll end up losing money!).

4) Have a fundraising event - give people in your community something to look forward to, and host a gala….you can sell tickets, have an auction, raffle prizes, etc that will give your church something to look forward to AND a perfect opportunity to donate to something they care about.

5) One last tid bit - consider selling sponsorships for your event…this can help off set some of your cost INCREDIBLY. You’d be surprised how many local businesses want to be a part of your cause-minded event! You can ask for anywhere around $500 per sponsor, and if you put your auction online, you can ask for even more than that because they’ll be getting just that much more exposure through your website and event emails!

Any online fund raising?

Posted by admin on July 19, 2010

Well my high school community seems to not like out school events, we never have dances, and any other fundraisers usually horribly fail.

Does anyone know of any fundraising in which you can do on Myspace, Facebook or online?

I doubt this is practical. You would need a merchant or business account.
